How does Adsprout work with Amazon Advertising Data?

Updated over a week ago

Amazon advertising data includes your campaign metrics and search term reports.

How much historical Advertising data do you store?

  • When you signup for Adsprout, we can only get the last 60 days of advertising data because Amazon only keeps 60 days of advertising data. Viral Launch does not purge any data so you will be able to view historical data the longer you are an Adsprout customer.

How frequently do you sync advertising data from Amazon to Adsprout?

  • Adsprout gets most advertising data nightly. For example, any new campaigns added in Amazon and campaign metrics will be synced on a nightly basis. There are a few data elements that we get near real-time (every 5 minutes):  campaign active state and status, keyword bids, campaign budgets, and ad group default bids.

Why does my advertising data change on Amazon?

  • Amazon advertising data has a lag up to 48 hours and you will notice that your ppc metrics in Amazon are constantly changing during this time.  Why is this? Amazon is processing a LOT of data and it takes Amazon time to get all the metrics updated. This video has a good explanation on why it takes time to update:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY_2gElt3SA

Why does my advertising data in Amazon not match my data in Adsprout?

  • Data that is older than 14 days should always match what is in Amazon

  • Data that is less than 14 days old will vary some. Amazon is constantly updating advertising data due to the data delays (see previous question) and the 14 day attribution window. Adsprout uses the following schedule to sync data from Amazon to Adsprout.

How long does it take to update Amazon if I make a change in Adsprout?

  • Changes made in Adsprout (bid changes, new campaigns, budget changes, etc..) sync to Amazon within 5 minutes or less.  The majority is 1 minute or less.
